Taylor Swift will be debuting her newest single “Change” at the Summer Olympics on NBC’s broadcast this week. It will be one of a few songs used as the soundtrack for daily highlights shown during the broadcast. It was chosen by Team USA and NBC for its content about overcoming challenges and achieving victory. It’ll be available for purchase on iTunes this Friday.

Chris Cagle will be releasing “Never Ever Gone” to country radio on August 19th. The song is from Cagle’s current album “My Life’s Been a Country Album,” which came out this past February.

Chris Cagle was found not guilty of a domestic assault charge this past Thursday after his girlfriend refused to testify against him.

Chris and his girlfriend Jennifer Taut were both faced charges of domestic violence after a drunken fight in May, but Jennifer refused to testify on grounds of self-incrimination, so the charges were dropped.

Chris’s attorney says “It’s a shame these charges were ever brought. Period. Chris was not, and never was, guilty of domestic violence, abuse or assault and the judge properly found him ‘not guilty.’ Chris is relieved the accuracy of the matter has been revealed, and the ordeal is over.”

Chris is still facing a court date in Arizona in September that involved a fight with a fan in a bar last December.

Chris Cagle isn’t having a very good year!

Not only will he be standing trial in September for an assault incident that happened in December, he was jailed this week on a domestic assault charge against his girlfriend Jennifer Taut, who was also arrested.

The pair apparently got into a drunken argument that turned physical, and both were required to spend 12 hours in lock up before being released on $1500 bond.

Chris Cagle’s current hit single, “What Kinda Gone,” is the first release from his My Life’s Been a Country Song album. It reached a peak position of #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Chris Cagle will stand trial in Tucson City Court on a misdemeanor assault charge after his tour ends this fall. His trial date is set for September 23.

He is is accused of striking Tucson resident Mark Barry on December 13 after a benefit concert in Tucson. Police say Cagle punched Barry in the face after Barry’s girlfriend became verbally abusive toward Cagle after he allegedly refused to sign an autograph for her after already signing several for her prior to the incident.

Chris Cagle’s newest album “My Life’s Been A Country Song” debuted as the #1 Country Album on Billboard after its release on February 19th.

The album contains the hit “What Kinda Gone,” as well as “I Don’t Wanna Live,” “Never Ever Gone,” and “No Love Songs.”
