Toby Keith is apparently not pleased with actor Ethan Hawke, who penned an article for the recent edition of Rolling Stone magazine about a blowup that an unnamed country music star had with Kris Kristofferson during a Willie Nelson tribute concert back in 2004.

Hawke had no problem naming everyone else mentioned in his article, except for “a country singer who ‘had a monster hit about bombing America’s enemies back into the stone age,’” apparently referring to Keith’s 2002 hit “Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue.” To be honest, as hot-headed as Toby is known to be I don’t think I’d dare utter his name either!

Hawke said the argument began with the “Star” telling Kristofferson: “None of that lefty (expletive) out there tonight, Kris.”

Hawke said Kristofferson then angrily confronted and asked him if he had ever served in the military.

“Have you ever killed another man? Huh? Have you ever taken another man’s life and then cashed the check your country gave you for doing it? No, you have not, so shut the (expletive) up,” Hawke recounted Kristofferson as saying. “You don’t know what the hell you are talking about.”

Toby basically calls Hawke a liar, saying that the blowup never happened and even Kristofferson felt the need to issue a statement saying that he’s friends with everyone, he doesn’t remember the incident, and he’s not going to say anything more about it.

It seems long lost relatives of LeAnn Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet are coming out of the woodwork to comment on the state of the couple’s relationship.

According to US magazine, who first broke the story that LeAnn is cheating on Dean with her Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian earlier this week, a woman identifying herself as Dean’s “cousin Pebbles” called into a radio station and dished on the couple. Read more

LeAnn Rimes and her Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian have both been quick to deny rumors that they’re having an affair after the “news” broke just last night.

Though LeAnn wrote on her website this morning that she and husband Dean Sheremet having been “a difficult time,” she all but denied the affair rumors on Live With Regis & Kelly this morning, saying

“Everything’s great - there’s rumors all the time,” she said.

“Things pass, life happens,” she later added. “You know, everything people read is not … as easy as black and white. That’s what it is. I let it roll off my back most of the time.”

Cibrian has also said they’re nothing more than friends and had just gone out for dinner one night while filming:

“LeAnn and I are friends, we went to dinner, that’s it. The most ridiculous thing is that people believe I would do something like this period … much less do it in a public place. The false accusations are obviously causing a rift at home, but me and my family will get through this together.”

Dean also got in on the action by Twittering “I love my wife!” this morning.

LeAnn Rimes is being rumored to have had an ongoing affair with her Northern Lights costar Eddie Cibrian according to US Magazine.

LeAnn has been married for seven years to backup dancer Dean Sheremet, and Cibrian has been married since 2001 and has two sons.

The new Us Weekly features pictures taken from a video security camera that show the two holding hands and kissing on a romantic dinner date at Mosun and Club M in Laguna Beach, California on March 7. Additionally, Us Weekly reports that the new couple met for a three-hour tryst at the Malibu Beach Inn on March 14.

The couple met on the set of Lifetime’s Northern Lights and “honestly developed a really strong bond and a warm relationship,” according to director Mike Robe.

Whew! Holiday get-togethers with the kids could get a little awkward!

Either way, though, I’m glad she’s moving on and am still looking forward to that rumored album she’s been working on!

The rumor mill never takes a break and one of this week’s targets was Julianne Hough!

A recent story claimed that she and her fellow country crooner boyfriend Chuck Wicks are engaged, but Julianne was quick to dispel the rumor with a post on her website, Juliannehough.com:

“First of all, sorry to disappoint, but we are not engaged. We are dating and enjoying this stage in our relationship. We’re not in any rush. They of course twisted my words in that article and it’s gotten to be a much bigger deal than it should be.

According to Taylor, that’s a big, emphatic NO!

“I read a very creative rumor this morning saying I’m pregnant, which is the most IMPOSSIBLE thing on the planet. Take my word for it. Impossible,” she wrote on her Myspace this morning.

The 18-year-old has been single since last month when she and teen heartthrob Joe Jonas broke up, and on her upcoming appearance on Ellen on November 11 she talks a bit about the 27-second breakup done over the phone.
