June 26, 2009 by Heather

Kenny Chesney Adds 3 More Tour Dates
May 8, 2009 by Heather

Great news for Kenny Chesney fans — he’s added three more dates to his Sun City Carnival tour schedule!
He had originally intended to cut down on his traveling this year, but he announced this morning that he’s adding more dates to his September schedule instead.
The added dates and venues are: September 10 in Biloxi, Mississippi. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum, September 11 in Tallahassee, FL at the Leon County Civic Center and September 12 in North Charleston, S.C. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
About the decision to add dates, Kenny says: “It takes so much work to get the show figured out, physically built, rehearsed. And we start long before the tour we’re doing is over. So you get a little mentally burned out, and you think, ‘Yeah, this year, I’m gonna take it a little lighter.’ But the fact is when you start playing for the people, all that tired goes away. That’s not what wears you out - that’s what feeds you. That’s why we do all the rest of it: to get up on that stage and play.”

Kenny Chesney Debuts “Out Last Night”

Kenny Chesney debuted the video for his newest single, “Out Last Night” on Myspace this weekend. Talk about a catchy tune - I can’t get it out of my head!
About the decision to debut it on Myspace, Kenny says:
“It seems to be that Myspace.com is what FM radio was when it took hold. Back when, it seemed like all the new music, all the stuff you’d want to discover was on FM radio stations where the total music junkies were hanging out - waiting to see what’s next.
“I know a lot of my fans are using social networking as a way to stay connected, to communicate with each other…to check out music and swamp bands,” he said, “and it’s a pretty exciting thing to get out there where you can feel the fans. It’s straight into their hands - and having the greatest fans in the world, this seemed like a way to give them the clip when they want it, where they want it.”
The video was filmed on location in Miami, Florida, and was inspired by a real night-out with co-writer Brett James over Christmas.
