The director of Miley’s new movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie, thinks so!

Director Peter Chelsom said that after working with Taylor for a day on the set of the movie, he thinks she’s a natural and after watching her on the recent episode of CSI, he would offer her a job:

He explains, “She did a day in the Hannah Montana movie and I made a mental check to work with her again.”

“If she walked in the room right now, I would say, ‘Can we meet and talk about films you might want to do?’ I don’t have anything concrete, but I would be very keen to do something with her.”

Performers for the 44th Annual ACM Awards next month have finally been announced!

This year’s lineup includes Lady Antebellum, Miley Cyrus, Jamey Johnson, host Reba McEntire, John Rich and Lee Ann Womack. They’ll be joining Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Heidi Newfield, Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and Taylor Swift.

Several performers are also nominees, which can be viewed here. Also, do you think Kenny Chesney should bow out?

The awards will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Sunday, April 5 at 8:00-11:00 PM ET on CBS.

As I wrote last week, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus performed Taylor’s song “Fifteen” at last night’s Grammy Awards.

I think Taylor did great, but cringed when Miley came in. I’ve heard her plenty (three young daughters who all love Hannah Montana!), but she just didn’t sound good last night.

Taylor Swift will be teaming up with teen queen Miley Cyrus at this Sunday’s Grammys for a special performance of Taylor’s song “15.”

About the duet, Taylor said: “We all kind of came to the consensus that ‘Wouldn’t be cool if Miley was up there and we were singing together.’” Sure, why not?

The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from The Staples Center in Los Angeles, on Sunday, February 8 at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Sugarland, Kenny Chesney, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock and several hip hop, R&B, and pop artists are also slated to perform.

Billy Ray Cyrus and teen queen daughter Miley have just announced they will be presenters at the 42nd Annual CMA Awards next week. The pair presented in 2006 as well.

Additional presenters announced will include Heidi Newfield, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, Lee Ann Womack and Taylor Swift, who will also perform.

Recently announced performers include Jason Aldean and James Otto (each nominated for CMA New Artist of the Year), Martina McBride (nominated for CMA Female Vocalist of the Year), as well as hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney and The Wailers, the Eagles, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Kellie Pickler, George Strait, Sugarland, and Keith Urban.

The 42nd Annual CMA Awards airs live from the Sommet Center in Nashville, Wednesday, November 12 on ABC.

Taylor Swift interviewed Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus for her Stripped performance. She asks Miley what she thinks about performing in smaller venues and what new styles she’d like to try.

Sugarland’s release of “Love on the Inside” had an outstanding first week at #2, which isn’t so bad when you realize #1 was teen queen Miley Cyrus!

Sugarland’s album hit 314,000 units sold, just shy of Miley’s “Breakout” at 361,000.
