About the album, Miranda says:

“I think this record is truly the most artistic project I have ever done. I really put my entire being into the making of it. From the writing to the recording to finding the perfect mixture of things I wanted to say. The inspiration was easy to come by, because it’s a compilation of everything I have ever listened to and fell in love with. It’s not an album where you listen from song to song, it’s a state of mind, a way of life. I hope people have as much fun getting to know me through listening as I did getting to know myself in recording it. And maybe it will do just as its title says….start a revolution.”

The first single, Dead Flowers, was released to radio May 4th after debuting at the 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards on April 5th.

It was written by Miranda who said she got the inspiration from “…some flowers that I got for Valentines Day in a vase on the kitchen table. I was going on the road so I had to throw them in the yard. They were just laying there and it was a really sad image. The song came to me right away and was one of those ones that kinda wrote itself.

The album will be released September 29.

Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert have officially joined Kenny Chesney’s concert tour, Sun City Carnival.

Lambert and Lady A were added to the line-up as opening acts late last week and will be joining Sugarland and Montgomery Gentry.

About the addition of Miranda, Kenny says:

“This tour is going to be a wild ride. Miranda came out and did a few shows with us, and the energy is the right stuff… She rocks hard, but she’s country from a place most people forget it’s coming from. And she knows how to have fun, which is as much a part of it as anything.”

Blake says he expects fans to assume that the song the album gets its name from, “Good at Startin’ Fires,” is about singer girlfriend Miranda Lambert, who has often uses flames in video and TV performances: “If there was ever a song written that somebody could go, ‘That’s his song for Miranda,’ that’s definitely what that is,” says Shelton, who is currently on tour with Lambert.

The album also contains a duet with Miranda called Bare Skin Rug: “We wanted to write a song that was kind of set back in the old days, and how lucky you were, probably, if you were a hillbilly to even find somebody of the opposite sex, much less somebody you weren’t kin to,” Shelton says. “So we wrote a beautiful love song about that.” Well, that’s always a good thing!
