The music video for Taylor Swift’s current hit single, “You Belong With Me,” will make its television debut this week on GAC.

The schedule includes:

The song is about the narrator who observes a male friend having a strained relationship with his girlfriend. She tries to convince him that he should leave his girlfriend for her, by saying that her feelings and their relationship are more meaningful than his girlfriend’s.

I have to admit, there are quite a few things about the song that remind me of Saving Jane’s ‘Girl Next Door,’ which has been around for several years now. What do you think?

Taylor Swift has apparently been getting some flak for her CMT Awards performance with Def Leppard last week.

Def Leppard frontman Joe Elliott defended Taylor in the pages Rolling Stone magazine recently after critics said she sounded breathless during their performance of “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”

Elliott says Taylor had basically been running around like a madwoman prior to the song, having just picked up an award, running down some stairs, dashing to her dressing room to change clothes, all before heading back out to the stage.

“Literally, she’s running up the ramp, trying to put her in-ear monitoring in and clip the pack to the back of her skirt, so she can try to sing this thing,” says Elliott. “She’s such a bundle of energy.”

Taylor and Def Leppard had performed together prior to the CMT Awards, having joined up last year for an episode of CMT Crossroads. That episode will be airing again on CMT tonight.

Taylor Swift and CMT Awards host Bill Engvall put together a pretty funny opening segment for the awards show last night. Bill comments that all of Taylor’s dreams seem to be coming true, and Taylor mentions a few more she’s been thinking about:

I especially liked Bill’s observation about Taylor’s love life during the Star Trek clip. That’s occurred to me a time or two! It also includes the video of her rap performance with T-Pain and Kellie Pickler even makes an appearance.

Taylor Swift did indeed pair up with hip hop singer T-Pain for a CMT Awards performance. The duo recorded a music video titled “Thug Story.”

The song is pretty amusing and though Taylor does most of the rapping, T-Pain held his own. I especially like the ending.

“I’m so gangsta you can find me bakin’ cookies at night.” Brilliant! What did you think of the video?

Rumor has it that Taylor Swift will be rapping with hip hop singer T-Pain for the CMT Music Awards next week!

The two might perform together during the opening act on June 16; Taylor has already been scheduled for a performance, and T-Pain was just signed on as a presenter. The two were spotted doing what looked like some rehearsing together in Nashville, so we’ll see!

The CMT Music Awards will air June 16th at 8 p.m. ET on CMT.

Taylor Swift has taped an episode with Oprah for her daytime talk show to air on May 18th.

She took a break from her Fearless tour for the visit, and Taylor said it’s been a lifelong dream of hers. She showed up at the Chicago studio to surprise a young fan as a part of a special episode: the finale of “Oprah’s Search for the World’s Smartest and Most Talented Kids.” Dancers, singers and more take to the Oprah show stage to show off their best skills.

The CMAs have a date: Set your DVR for November 11th! The 43rd Annual CMA Awards will air on Wednesday, Nov. 11 on ABC live from the Sommet Center in Nashville.

Nominees for the awards will be announced in early September.

Taylor Swift is in London this week as part of her Fearless tour schedule. She has a show tonight and one more tomorrow before she jets back to the States for a show in Spokane, WA.

Of course, the paparazzi across the pond go as nuts for her as they do here, and Taylor always seems happy to smile and pose. She’s sporting a “13″ on her hand, possibly for her birthdate (December 13th) as she signs autographs.

Taylor’s “Fearless” tour kicked off April 23rd and will hit 52 US cities in 40 states before its completion in October.

Looking much more grown up than her 19 years, Taylor Swift arrived on the orange carpet at the ACM Awards tonight in Las Vegas in a beautiful red gown and matching lipstick.

Though she lost her nomination for Top Female Vocalist to Carrie Underwood, Taylor seemed to have a great time throughout the night, and got things kicked off with a greeting from girlfriend Kellie Pickler before heading inside. More pics under the cut! Read more

The director of Miley’s new movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie, thinks so!

Director Peter Chelsom said that after working with Taylor for a day on the set of the movie, he thinks she’s a natural and after watching her on the recent episode of CSI, he would offer her a job:

He explains, “She did a day in the Hannah Montana movie and I made a mental check to work with her again.”

“If she walked in the room right now, I would say, ‘Can we meet and talk about films you might want to do?’ I don’t have anything concrete, but I would be very keen to do something with her.”
