Taylor Swift’s Performance at ‘Hope for Haiti’

Taylor Swift performed a cover of Better Than Ezra’s ‘Breathless‘ at last night’s Hope for Haiti telethon, which was telecast nationwide on more than 30 networks.
With probably very little time to prepare, she ended up doing a great job with a song she’s not used to performing!
The event was broadcast live from Los Angeles to over 30 major networks, including CMT. Funds were raised to benefit Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF, and Yele Haiti Foundation.

Carrie Underwood’s “Cowboy Casanova” Christmas Special

Did you catch Carrie Underwood’s All-Star Holiday Special on Fox last night? The two hour variety show featured Carrie with other featured guests like Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, and David Cook.
The video above is Carrie performing her current smash single, “Cowboy Casanova.” I don’t know how Carrie does it — I’d be way too distracted by the dancers to pay attention to the singing! (Are they wearing vampire fangs?)
Carrie was rocking the skin-tight leather pants and thigh-high boots, and hit every note perfectly. After the performance we got a sneak-peak of some “behind the scenes footage” of the hard work …read more

Toby itended to write and play the song at Tisdale’s funeral this past May, but found he had a harder time than he anticipated as the wound was still too fresh:
“I’ve had some loss in my life, of course my dad, but that’s different. I’ve lost some friends and acquaintances along the way, but this one was very difficult for me. I wrote this for [the funeral], but I could not get through …read more

Flashback Friday: LeAnn Rimes

This Flashback Friday from LeAnn Rimes hit the airwaves in April 1998. At only 16 years old, LeAnn belted out “Commitment” like a seasoned pro.
Now, I’m featuring this song today because a couple of my local DJs were discussing it on the radio yesterday. In light of her recent separation and divorce announcement from her husband of seven years and allegations that she was cheating on him with her Northern Lights co-star Eddie Cibrian, who has also recently split from his wife, they were asking listeners if the way an artist behaves or what they do affect how you perceive …read more

Taylor Swift Pranks Keith Urban

During a Kansas City, Missouri concert this weekend, Taylor Swift surprised tourmate Keith Urban while Keith was onstage performing “Kiss A Girl.”
About a minute into the video, Taylor and her band come out dressed as Kiss band members, followed a little bit after by a couple of other people dressed as foil-wrapped Hershey Kisses who then tossed the chocolate candies into the audience.
About two minutes in poor Keith looks like he just wants to finish the song without anymore distractions! A few people on the Youtube page for the video are complaining about it being another attention-seeking stunt from 19-year-old …read more

Rascal Flatts Today Show Performance

Rascal Flatts appeared on the Today Show this morning to perform for the show’s concert series.
They performed their mega hit, “Here Comes Goodbye,” in front of the live audience at Rockefeller plaza.
They also performed one of my current favorites, Summer Nights, after an intro and quick interview by Today Show host Matt Lauer, who mentions the group have been recognized by the Academy of Country Music as Group of the Year for seven consecutive years!
Matt also presents a framed plaque that commemorates the group’s 20 million albums that they’ve sold over their ten-year career. Lead singer Gary LeVox, who …read more
