Taylor Swift Wins VMA Best Female Video 2009

Taylor Swift won the MTV Video Music Award for best Female Video tonight for “You Belong With Me!” She looked a bit shell-shocked when her name was called, and as always made a very sweet speech, which was cut short:
Just after she thanked everyone for giving her a chance because she’s a country star, Kanye West grabbed the microphone from her, and interrupted her to go off on how Beyonce’s video was the best of all time. Keep it classy, Kanye. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say W-T-F. Beyonce, at least, had the decency to look a bit shocked (though a bit flattered, I’m sure) over the display. The audience didn’t appreciate the disrespect either and let Kanye know what they thought.
Poor Taylor had no idea how to react (who would?) and looked a bit distressed when the microphone was shoved back into her hands. Wow. Kanye was apparently ultimately escorted out, and Taylor is said to have left the stage in tears. Hope he’s proud of himself.
Taylor was up against Beyonce for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)”; Katy Perry, “Hot N Cold”; Kelly Clarkson, “My Life Would Suck Without You”; Lady Gaga, “Poker Face”; P!nk, “So What”; Taylor Swift, “You Belong With Me.”
You need to be in some higher level of stupidity to do something like that, screw that moron
